Wedding photography by Tony Pick? NOW is your chance…

I can’t believe it’s already March, but what a perfect time for some changes and updates.

The new website is up and running and I’ve been getting some fantastic feedback. It took a lot of hours of designing and developing and I am really pleased with the final result.

With a little refresh of colour and design, I have also been giving the weddings part of my business a little makeover.

With some contemporary branding, a new wedding package and some fresh ideas, I am so excited to get going. I have always loved sharing such a special day with couples. I really enjoy seeing and capturing the emotion and excitement of the day.

As well as offering a new package including a flash drive with all the retouched images in colour and black and white., I am now offering a photo slideshow video with music, to really make the most of the images.

Tomorrow I am exhibiting at a wedding fair at a new Suffolk venue called Easton Grange. I photographed the venue for their welcome brochure last year and it really is lovely with stunning views.

I will be showcasing my new branding and style of photography as well as offering a unique discount on the day. Hope to see some of you there.

It is great to share my knowledge with others…

What a beautiful day it has been here in Aldeburgh, and what a lovely way to finish off a hectic half term week.

Today I’ve been doing some Photography training workshops. It really is great to share my knowledge with others that are just as passionate about photography as me.

I was teaching my client James all about camera skills. We faced all the usual challenges of photographing outside, such as the constant changing light.

We headed over to the beach, which is a very short walk from the gallery. I used different techniques such as aperture, shutter speed, and camera filters to show the different effects you can get when creating landscapes.

Ellie then joined us to learn a bit more and she did a bit of modelling for us.James Photo Training 21-2-4-103

James gave some great feedback about the day:

“For me it has been a completely inspirational day – enjoyable, as well as constructive. Previously I’ve really struggled in high contrast, bright light situations. Tony addressed all the problems I came in to the workshop with and I now have all the skills and knowledge to overcome them. I understand all my camera settings and found using graduated filters and flash, whilst shooting in to the sun particularly valuable. It’s been a really great day and I will definitely be returning to find out more.”

We were all really pleased with the results, what do you think?

Monday morning catchup – making the most of the wild weather…

It’s a fresh, and dry, Monday morning here in Aldeburgh, which has made a nice change to the wet weather we’ve been getting used to lately. There is a great buzz around the town as lots of families have gathered ready for the half term break. If you find yourself in Aldeburgh, make sure you pop in to the gallery and say Hi.

For those of you that haven’t visited Aldeburgh before, it’s a lovely small town on the Suffolk coast, which hosts a variety of history, shopping and time to relax.

Meanwhile in the gallery, I have been busy doing various ‘behind the scenes’ tasks. I’ve been keeping very busy with making some changes to the branding, meeting new customers and preparing for the re-launch of weddings. Everything is now coming together great and I will be sharing more about these here on the blog, and on Facebook & Twitter so make sure you’re following me.

I’ve been making the most of the wild weather and it has made for some great images. I love to shoot in low light conditions as it is really flattering. I had a great time photographing Emily, her mum and her horsey friend Guss. We wrapped up in our coats, hats and wellies and braved the elements with some fantastic results.
