Today saw the Olympic torch pass through Aldeburgh. Crag path was a mass of union jacks waved by hundreds of local children as the torch passed before continuing into the high street. The sun shone after a heavy downpour a few minutes earlier!
Today is the day to celebrate Aldeburgh’s Independent shops and businesses and make the most of the special offers, discounts and masterclasses on offer. Enjoy the music and festivities whilst getting to know the shop owners on the high street. Thank you to everyone who attended my masterclass outside the gallery and hope you came away with some top tips and new techniques. What a day at sea yesterday – Good to be back on dry land!
The Aldeburgh RNLI all-weather lifeboat Freddie Cooper was launch at 10.50am, in severe weather conditions, to assist a 13 metre Dutch yacht, with 4 people on board, which had lost its rudder.
