March has turned out to be quite a lovely month weather wise. It’s strange to think this time last year we were faced with snow showers to contend with.
March has also seen many behind the scenes changes for Tony Pick Photography
We have been completing on-going tasks with launching our new website, which we are so pleased with and getting some really lovely feedback from. The new brand colours have really brightened everything up and it’s great that families can now book online for their portraits and order landscapes.
At the beginning of the month we showcased at a wedding fayre at the lovely Easton Grange, a fantastic new wedding venue in Suffolk. It was lovely to see such a beautiful local venue and meet lots of excited engaged couples.
We’ve had many happy clients coming in and out of the gallery. I’ve been teaching a few different sets of parents how to get the best from their cameras, ensuring they capture their children growing up with really stunning images.
Our spring portrait offer was very popular, and we’re really looking forward to the shoots.
As you may or may not already know, we’ve added some new additions to the gallery. We have dog sculptures by Rosemary Cook and jewellery by Alex Monroe.
We’ve been sharing a lot more on our social media such as exclusive offers and news so to keep up to date, make sure you follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram.
April has got off to a very busy month too. Tony is currently in London photographing the Google Atmosphere week. We will be sharing a few photographs throughout the week through our social media and then tell you all about it here on the blog next week.
Phew think that’s everything,
Tony & the team
We are thrilled to announce that we now stock jewellery by our lovely friend Alex Monroe.
Alex is a London based designer but grew up in Suffolk. Nature is a big influence on his work, which is very popular. It is available in boutiques and prestigious
department stores such as Liberty and Harrods, and we are really pleased to bring it to Aldeburgh.
We have some really irresistible pieces including a bumblebee, a hummingbird and a juicy pear necklace as well as some pretty bee stud earrings.
Fantastic as a gift, or simply treat yourself.
It’s nearly Mother’s Day…
Show mum some love with a family portrait she can treasure. We’ve put together the perfect package to surprise her with.
What a great reason to spend some quality time with your family and come visit us in the lovely Suffolk coastal town of Aldeburgh.

What beautiful weather we’ve been having here in Aldeburgh. There have been lots of visitors in town over the weekend and it was lovely to meet the people that took the time to pop into the gallery.
This type of weather is absolutely fantastic for on-location portraits. I love shooting into the sun for really vibrant and fresh look and that’s exactly what I was doing on Saturday. I had a great time shooting Paul and Alice and their playful dog Teddy. We headed to nearby marshland and then out onto the beach.
Here are some of my favourites…
Also, if you haven’t seen already, on Saturday I released a fantastic spring offer consisting of some complimentary vouchers! These entitle you to the portrait shoot and £50 credit to use towards any products of your choice. There has been a great response, but there are still some vouchers that need claiming, so why not get one for your family?
For more information or to book, call the gallery on 01728 451999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to hearing from you,
Tony and the team.
I can’t believe it’s already March, but what a perfect time for some changes and updates.
The new website is up and running and I’ve been getting some fantastic feedback. It took a lot of hours of designing and developing and I am really pleased with the final result.
With a little refresh of colour and design, I have also been giving the weddings part of my business a little makeover.
With some contemporary branding, a new wedding package and some fresh ideas, I am so excited to get going. I have always loved sharing such a special day with couples. I really enjoy seeing and capturing the emotion and excitement of the day.
As well as offering a new package including a flash drive with all the retouched images in colour and black and white., I am now offering a photo slideshow video with music, to really make the most of the images.
Tomorrow I am exhibiting at a wedding fair at a new Suffolk venue called Easton Grange. I photographed the venue for their welcome brochure last year and it really is lovely with stunning views.
I will be showcasing my new branding and style of photography as well as offering a unique discount on the day. Hope to see some of you there.
What a beautiful day it has been here in Aldeburgh, and what a lovely way to finish off a hectic half term week.
Today I’ve been doing some Photography training workshops. It really is great to share my knowledge with others that are just as passionate about photography as me.
I was teaching my client James all about camera skills. We faced all the usual challenges of photographing outside, such as the constant changing light.
We headed over to the beach, which is a very short walk from the gallery. I used different techniques such as aperture, shutter speed, and camera filters to show the different effects you can get when creating landscapes.
Ellie then joined us to learn a bit more and she did a bit of modelling for us.
James gave some great feedback about the day:
“For me it has been a completely inspirational day – enjoyable, as well as constructive. Previously I’ve really struggled in high contrast, bright light situations. Tony addressed all the problems I came in to the workshop with and I now have all the skills and knowledge to overcome them. I understand all my camera settings and found using graduated filters and flash, whilst shooting in to the sun particularly valuable. It’s been a really great day and I will definitely be returning to find out more.”
We were all really pleased with the results, what do you think?
It’s a fresh, and dry, Monday morning here in Aldeburgh, which has made a nice change to the wet weather we’ve been getting used to lately. There is a great buzz around the town as lots of families have gathered ready for the half term break. If you find yourself in Aldeburgh, make sure you pop in to the gallery and say Hi.
For those of you that haven’t visited Aldeburgh before, it’s a lovely small town on the Suffolk coast, which hosts a variety of history, shopping and time to relax.
Meanwhile in the gallery, I have been busy doing various ‘behind the scenes’ tasks. I’ve been keeping very busy with making some changes to the branding, meeting new customers and preparing for the re-launch of weddings. Everything is now coming together great and I will be sharing more about these here on the blog, and on Facebook & Twitter so make sure you’re following me.
I’ve been making the most of the wild weather and it has made for some great images. I love to shoot in low light conditions as it is really flattering. I had a great time photographing Emily, her mum and her horsey friend Guss. We wrapped up in our coats, hats and wellies and braved the elements with some fantastic results.
Fall in love, all over again, It’s valentines day
